Workshops and Seminars - Personal and professional development opportunities for research students are spread throughout the duration of the research degree. The extent to which research students are required to take advantage of these opportunities will normally be negotiated through the supervision process, taking account of subject and individual needs.

Training - Co-ordinates and delivers a comprehensive programme of research training including Research Skills Development Workshops for research students and the Research Supervisors Development Programme (RSDP) for research supervisors.

Annual Research Conference - The Doctoral College Annual Researchers' Week. Vibrant research community - Builds an overarching and vibrant research community that unites and supports all research students.

Mentoring - Mentoring for developing researchers is provided in two ways: through Peer Mentoring Development Groups or One to One Peer Mentoring; the mentoring scheme will work with you to identify which type of mentoring best suits your developmental needs.
