Meet the Chaplains
Rev Preb Sarah Schofield
Vicar of All Saints' Church in Wolverhampton for 12 years, Sarah is the University's new senior chaplain. She is keen to get out and about on campus to meet and help students and staff.
Deacon Sarah Bruce
Sarah joined the team in September 2009; a deacon in the Methodist Church Sarah brings a rich experience of working with students both in Britain and abroad. She is a trained counsellor and is based at the Chaplaincy Centre.
Mr Abdul Hameed
Abdul joined the team of Chaplains in 2005, and is a Muslim Imam. Abdul trained in Pakistan, and has completed further studies at the Markfield Institute of Higher Education. He brings an important Islamic presence to the team.
Fr Mark Crisp
Is the Roman Catholic Priest at St Peter and St Paul's in Wolverhampton. Born and bred in Birmingham, he has lived in Rome, South Yorkshire and London occupying himself in a variety of activities, studying, gardening, nursing, singing and playing musical instruments. He was until recently Rector of Oscott College.
Giani Shyam Singh
Bringing to the team over 24 years' experience of being a Sikh priest, both in India and at the Ramgharia Board Sikh Temple in Wolverhampton, he also works as the Sikh Chaplain at New Cross Hospital.
Rabbi Cohen
Rabbi Fishel Cohen has been a visiting Chaplain here for the past 18 years. He covers all the West Midlands universities, including Warwick, Coventry, and the Birmingham universities. Rabbi Fishel visits regularly, and is based in the Jewish community in Birmingham.
